A country I would like to visit

Hi classmates!!! Today I´m going to talk about the place I would like to visit.

Even if is not a country, I´d love to visit Rapa Nui because I´ve always considered it a very mystique island, with a very exquisite culture. I have heard from some friends that already visited the island,  that the food, hotel or things like that are very expensive, at the same that ticket´s airplane. Also, I have heard some rumors that island´s men are very sexist and ladies´man.

If I went there I would like to visit all the museums and the Moais, talk to the locals and practice their typical dance called Sau Sau. Besides, I would like to walk around the coast and eat their typical food. If I have the opportunity, I would like to watch their particular competitions, but I think these are done in a specific period.

Although I wouldn´t like to work or live permanently at the island, because I will missed my family and all my social environment, I think I would like live some months (one or two) to have the chance to learn a little bit about this beautiful culture

My ideal Job!

Hello my name is Camila and I’m going to talk about my ideal job. I have to say that I´m not 100% sure what my ideal work is, but I´m considering to work as psychology at CESFAM or any other medical center, specifically on the infants-teenager´s area. I would need a lot of skills to this job like patience with the patient, creativity to use original methods to work with kids or teenagers, empathy to create a comfortable atmosphere, among others. I think that I’m good at listening problem´s people so I can be able to help them, creating that comfortable atmosphere. However, I think I have to develop more creativity and patience with the different process that all the patients would pass.

One of the problems that I could find is maybe there are not vacancies or if there are, still be don’t enough. Because of that, another possible problem could be the low salary. However, I think that issues can´t stop me to pursuits that work.  

About blog sessions!!!

This experience, write on a blog, is so new to me because I never had one and, to me, write is very difficult. I´ve always had problems writing about some topics, because, as I said before, I’m not so good at writing.  So this experience of blog sessions was, from the beginning, a great challenge, because every week I have to practice my writing. But, I can say that I really enjoy this experience because it was a great opportunity to practice my week point, writing, and I have been amazed at what I have grown in this area, and how this experience helped me to improve my English but, obviously,  I have much to learn about it.

Concerning my opinion about blogging in the English class, I can say that have a lot of advantage. We can practice our writing, learning more things about grammar and new words, or put the words in the correct order to create a good sentence (this point is reinforced by the teacher´s corrections) and that is so good because I think that the most of the school doesn´t reinforce that area, at least, that was the weakness of my school. Another advantage was to be able to read about the views of my classmates had on the different subject, which obviously helps to know us better.

To me some disadvantages of blog session was that sometimes the topics wasn´t  very creative and bored (only  sometimes…), but I can  understand that maybe, in the future work we need to write or read boring things, but we will do it because it´s our job…another disadvantage was that we could receive the corrections for some phrases but not to the full work, and therefore I don´t know if I really improve my writing, so I believe it would be  good for the students receive an individual report from the teacher ,that maybe,  could help us to see our strengths and weakness in writing.

my favourite dish!

Choose my favourite dish is very difficult because i really like the food in general, and eat too. I can say that my favourite dish is the italian`food  specially Lasagna. Is hard to explain why I like, i can say that the taste is unique and so peculiar, i really like it (well ths “pastas” in general!).

I do not remember the frist day that I ate (maybe was at home, in a family meal), probably when i was a child, but I inmediattly  loved it. I always helped my mom to do it, and i think that is the reason why i know the recipe (well the most of you know that prepare Lasagna is not to hard).

The recipe is very simple and you can modify the ingredients according to your tastes. The principal ingredients are tomato paste, oregano, cheese and the mass of the Lasagna (i don`t know how to make the mass, i always buy it). You can add it meat, tomatoes, peppers,etc or if you want a vegetarian Lasagna you can add vegetables! (I prefer cook this type of Lasagna, is most healthy)

I would like to learn more recipes to cook more foods and test diferents flavors, i will try to do it!

The photograph i like the most

I really don`t have any photograph i like the most, because i have a lot of photographs that reflect many importants moments in my life or very important and close peoples in my life. Those are some of the reasons  why this topic is very difficult for me (choose ONE of those photographs), so I choose 2.

The first one was taken in halloween, when my friends and I went to barbara`s home (she is one of my friends) to see movies, share some time together, take some time to relax from that stressful year (4to medio),etc. it`s was like a pajama party. A pedestrian took this photograph.

The reason why i like and choose this photograph is because there are some of my friends, and old friends, veri important to me, and i really love them.

The second one was taken in my old school, in wich i live greats moments and meet a lot of beatiful peoples and friends, the Liceo Carmela Carvajal de Prat.  Is not that i love the school, but I was there six years of my life and that is important.

All my classmates of cuarto medio and I decided  to go to the school in pajamas, and it`s was very funny, althought some of them forgot to bring it.

One of the supervisors took this photograph (she was a very nice person) and before that some girls upload it to facebook.

Obviously this photograph are not the most important, but there are some of them.

the best day of my life!

Well I think that one of my best days was when I knew that I had been selected at the career of psychology. I remember that day was very anxious waiting for the results because I wanted to come to the university so much (especially this one) and I didn´t want to wait another year to get into university.

I remember that day I was not in Santiago, to be more specific, I was in Viña del Mar, and nobody of my family was with me, that put on me more pressure.

In the evening I called one of my friends to talk about others things that had nothing to do with the results of universities ´applications, and suddenly, she asked to me: hey did you know the results of the applications? And I was like WHAT?????, because I think that the results would be at the night. Well…para hacer cuento corto (I don´t know how to say that in English. Teacher, if you see this, please help me!) she told me about the results, and I almost cried because of the happiness…was a very happy and emotional day.

The next day I found out that all my friends had been selected in what they wanted, and that made me very happy because I remember the stressful days  before an after the PSU with all the fear and anxious.

I really happy to be here, and I more happy because I know that all of my friends (well, the most of them) are in the university now, studying what the wanted!

my favourite piece of technology

I can say that my favourite piece of technology is my mp3, but isn`t essential for me, because I`m not a technological person.

When I turned fifteen years old  my mom gave me this mp3 as a gift, and it was a beautiful moment because I wanted it for a long time.

I use my mp3 pretty often, but sometimes i leave it in home or in some friends` houses.

I like and choise my mp3 at my favourite piece of techology because i really like music. My life is more happy when i`m listening music, beacuse in that moment i forget my corcens or some things that i have to do and i can enjoy the present. It`s like CARPE DIEM, living this  moment and not concerning about the futures problems.

 

I can say that i can live without it, but mp3 brings me the possibility to listen music all the time, in every moment of my life. I prefer to say that my life without music will be very sad
